Rafail Angelakopoulos is a PhD student in the field of Genetic Physiology of Aquatic organisms at the laboratory of Genetics (BIOZ) at the department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology. He graduated from the Department of Ichthyology and Aquatic Environment, University of Thessaly. He also received a MSc degree in “Applications of Molecular Biology – Genetics -Molecular Markers” from the department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology of University of Thessaly. His research interests are in animal Genetics with a preference in aquatic organisms. Since 2018 he is working his PhD thesis at BIOZ entitled "The genetics of freshness in Mediterranean farmed fish -interaction with harvesting methods". He has published 3 scientific papers in International Journals with peer-review process and and has participated in scientific conferences.
