Maria Kalemkeridou graduated from the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology of the University of Thessaly in 2017. From the same department, she obtained a master's degree in "Applications of molecular biology - Molecular genetics - Diagnostic markers". Since 2020, she is working on her PhD thesis at the Laboratory of Genetics, Comparative and Evolutionary Biology of the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, on the topic of "Genomics approaches for the improvement of reproduction & production in dairy cows". Her research interests include the genetics of farmed animal species and more specifically the study of the adaptation mechanisms of these species to thermal stress. Maria has contributed to 6 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
