Alexia is a graduate of the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology at the University of Thessaly. She also obtained a postgraduate specialization degree in 'Biotechnology: Food and Environmental Quality' from the same department. Since 2023, she has been a prospective doctoral candidate at the Laboratory of Genetics, Comparative, and Evolutionary Biology within the same department. Her research interests focus on comparative fish biology, specifically studying myostatic mechanisms in gilthead sea bream.
